Activities in the village of Tolo and the surrounding areas are plentiful. For example just outside on the beach it is possible to rent a motor boat to explore the other beaches and the islands in the bay or partake in the water sports on offer such as waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, ringo & banana rides. Visit the headland at the end of the bay where Ancient Asini is situated and the Mycenaean graves up on the Barbouna mountain. Take a walk up the mountains and marvel at the breathtaking views or rent a bicycle or a car and plan a few hours out of the village. A little further afield visit some of the most famous archaeological sites in Greece such Epidavros Theatre, Mycenae (see Argolida), Argos, Mystra, Sparta, Ancient Olympia, Ancient Corinth, Acrocorinth, Nemea to name but a few. Try a visit to the Natural History Museum in Ligourio, the museums of Nafplion or the Karonis Ouzo Museum which is one of a kind. For more adventurous visitors rock climbing, kite surfing and go carting are available in the area. |
